Understanding the schedule
In Hong Kong, an “earnings date” is usually described as a results announcement date. A listed issuer normally announces a board meeting at which directors will approve interim or annual results and may consider a dividend. That meeting date is the strongest official forward-looking signal, but it is not always the exact publication time.
Dates marked “Official HKEX” come from issuer board-meeting information. Estimated dates come from secondary financial-calendar sources while an official notice is unavailable. An official date takes priority, and postponements update the existing calendar event.
US companies commonly report quarterly and often use before-open or after-close labels. Many Hong Kong Main Board issuers primarily publish interim and annual results. Some report quarterly, but an exact release session is often not announced.
HKEX codes use five digits, such as 00700, while market-data providers may show Tencent as 0700.HK. Econ Calendar recognises both. Official board meetings are all-day events, prices remain in HKD, and revised dates update the same calendar entry.
Beyond results dates
You can also receive a calendar review event or email when a Hong Kong stock closes above its previous 52-week high or below its previous 52-week low. The close and comparison level are shown in HKD, and the review date follows the next Hong Kong trading session.
FAQ
Not necessarily. The board-meeting date is when directors are scheduled to approve the results and may consider a dividend. The announcement can be published later that day, so Econ Calendar treats it as an all-day event unless a reliable publication time is available.
Many Hong Kong Main Board companies primarily publish interim and annual results. Some companies also report quarterly, but investors should not assume that every issuer follows the US quarterly reporting pattern.
An Official HKEX date comes from an issuer board-meeting notice. An estimated date comes from a secondary financial-calendar source while no official date is available. The official date takes priority when it is published.
An issuer can postpone or revise a board meeting. When the source schedule changes, Econ Calendar updates the existing calendar event instead of creating a duplicate.
Official board-meeting dates are shown as all-day events because they normally do not provide an exact publication time. They therefore stay on the announced Hong Kong calendar date.
Yes. 00700 is Tencent’s five-digit HKEX code, while 0700.HK is the symbol format commonly used by market-data providers. Econ Calendar recognises both formats.
Yes. Add a supported Hong Kong stock to a Pro or Unlimited watchlist and its upcoming results dates can appear in the same private feed used by Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook.
